Portland OR gun show report
Spring gun show at the Portland Expo Center this weekend. Actually some Luger presence there this time--shooting-level guns, particularly-- so I thought I'd report in.
Two Alphabet Commercials, good ones, both .30. $800 each.
Erfurt/byf42/S/42 mixmaster 9mm, &895
High-polish reblue Alphabet Commercial .30, $500
5-digit Commercial .30 reblue, $750
1914 DWM 9mm reblue, $895
Very early 1906, reblue, rebarrelled with a short stubby .30 barrel sleeve-inserted to 9mm (no kidding!), $750
Completely sanitized Artillery, reblued, $950
Bogus 1908 Navy (small-head toggle pin), $3,995
1900 AE, arguably restored but really nice, $5,495
1913 DWM Imperial unit marked 5.P.S.9 with added sear safety, $2,495
1912 Erfurt unit marked 165.R.M.G.41. mismatched, $950
There was one other Luger there. It was one of those legendary gun-show finds that one talks about for months afterwards. It is not my story, however, so I will not spoil the telling for the one whose tale it is.
