Push the upper section back just a bit without folding the toggle. Hold it there while you swing the take down lever so that it points downward. Remove the metal panel from the gun and let the upper section go. Slide ot forward and off of the frame.
That's about all you have to do to field strip it. Assembly is the same only backward.
