Bob Adams does offer a return within certain time limits.

Here is the sales ad text :

" 01862. $ 995 (Curio & Relic) Available
A very unusual DWM Luger CARBINE frame, serial number 55029. Recently brought in from Mexico where it was found in with parts from an old gunsmith. Short Frame! Unique "T" shaped forend bar. Grip safety. It appears to be a legit carbine frame that has suffered from neglect. About 35-40% original blue, with remainder covered with surface rust. Safety, hold-open and coil mainspring intact, but frozen with rust. This would be ideal for restoration of a carbine. Unusual oval markings behind sideplate (see picture). Endless possibilities! "
