Default Mauser Parabellum

Hello,

Many years ago I bought myself a Christmas present. I have never regretted it. I also have a bad habit of making boxes to store things in I buy. This one has been stored away for many years. I thought you might like to see it and it's description.

The pistol is unfired by me. I guess the last time it was fired was at the factory test target. I bought the pistol Dec. 3, 1975. I have the original receipt. It is the P.08 version, (Not the straight grip Swiss version), 9mm with 6" barrel, 9mm Luger on barrel, American Eagle on chamber, and Mauser Werke on front grip strap, Interarms, Alexandria Virginia on right side. The S/N is shown in one of the images.

I bought the pistol knowing it would become a collectors item. I bought all the extras knowing it would be the best time to buy them. These pistols are probably the last true lugers to ever be made by Mauser or anyone else.

I made the hand rubbed varnished storage case to keep everythig together associated with the pistol. The pistol has been stored separately wrapped in anti-corrosion paper with the grips off. It is hard to believe this was 31 years ago and I was 32 years old at the time. Very few people have ever seen this pistol and case.

I will describe the walnut case:
The case is 27"X15-1/2"X4".
Hand rubbed varnish with Mauser logo embedded on front.
The case inside bottom and removeable tray are lined with red felt.
The case has finger joint corners and 4 hinges on lid with a lid support for holding lid open for display or access.

Contents of Case:
On the left side is the original box and cardboard shipping sleeve that the pistol was received in. The Mauser box is in as new received condition.

Beside the holster there is 2 boxes of Remington green box period ammunition bought in 1976.

There is the 6" Interarms Parabellum holster. As new except for the age brassing around the brass snaps. This will wipe off and occurs naturally with treated leather and brass.

On the right side in the lift out tray:

(1) Set of spare grips.
(2) Cleaning Rods.
(2) Takedown Tools.
(4) Magazines (Total), One in pistol, 3 spares in case.
(1) Box of spare parts.
(1) Original Mauser blue plastic display tag or logo.

Contents (Under Removable Tray on right side. (Lots of stuff)
(1) Packet of desicant that came with pistol.
(1) Mauser Parabellum 08 Luger brochure showing some presentation models.
(1) The Mauser Parrabellum Book by Francis C. Allan (Soft Bound)
(1) 1975 Interarms Catalog & Price List
(2) 1976 Interarms Catalog & Price List
(1) 1977 Interarms Price list
(3) Instruction manuals for the Mauser Parabellum. One came with pistol.
(1) Reprint of Mauser Parabellum Instruction Book from the 1930's.
(1) Original test target from Mauser that came with pistol.
(*) All sales receipts, invoices, and correspondence from Interarms related to the pistol and stuff I bought with it. Has invoices for everything I bought with the pistol including spare parts listing.
(2) Guns & Ammo magazines from 1975 with articles on the Mauser Parabellum pistols.
This is a brief overview of the pistol and everything in the case. Maybe the images will tell more than my writup.

The top of the case is not discolored it is just the reflection of the grain from the flash.
