The follower button is staked in through the hole near the bottom of the magazine body on the opposite side from the follower button. Removing the button requires that it be driven out with a punch through this hole. Unless the magazine body is properly supported it is very easy to bend or dent the magazine. Reinstalling the button is accomplised by re-staking it through the same hole, again with the same risk. Unless there is a pressing need to remove the follower button, it is best to leave it alone.
