This is what makes me believe that the 9s on the grips are original. Not only are they not to regulation, as far as size and application, but the unit mark is not stamped to regulation either. Instead of a cursive R which would be correct, the armorer stamped Res. This would indicate to me that whomever marked this pistol, didn't have a grasp of the correct marking procedure.
