There will always be lazy, uninformed so-called "collectors" who are involved in buying manufactured "rarities." This includes all the commemorative Colts, both single action and 1911 types, phony Winchesters with machine stamped decorations, imitation M1 carbines and Garands, and on and on in unending categories. This is the price one pays for not researching and learning the hard way that true collectibles go to those who have invested time, money, and effort in becoming knowledgeable in one or more specialized fields.
