BTW...I normally clean the "brass" hardware just a little to remove the green corrosion only but I like to keep the patina and age on the brass so it shows its history and age better. But that is just my opinion and my personal preference.

I usually just use a clean white cotton cloth to remove the green corrosion from the brass hardward and leather...nothing more.

For leather, I just use products for cleaning shoes and colourless shoe-wax .
For copper, I did try white cotton cloth, but it was ineffective on green corrosion. I used "Mirror" and now, copper shines like a... mirror.
