Thanks for the post Jerry!

Yes the industry has changed dramatically over the past 20 years... Fortunately.. my first job out of college was working for a label as an A&R rep, so I learned all the ins/outs of what makes the industry tic... its amazing that.. with the studio I have in my house. 20 years ago it would have taken Millions of dollars to make recordings like I can make... And with digital distribution & internet marketing.. indi artist can make a somewhat decent living for themselves.. with all that said.. the commercial market & pay-olla is still VERY much alive in many different forms.. And unfortunately no matter how much Internet savy, and exposure an artist may have.. there is no way to compete with a Major Record Label... they have made it very clear that there existence is justified... and beleive it our not.. I have seen the toll illegal downloading has taken on the record business.. I.E. I lost my job because of it.. even though I filled the labels roster with the most sucessfull rock bands to date.. All that said. it let me focus on writing & I'm so much happier doing my true passion than ever before... Always up for talking music biz.. so PM me any time
