Default Selling A P08 From Canada To Us

Hi, hope someone could help me with sound advice. Due to family commitments, I am forced to part with some of my collection. Reluctantly, I find myself thinking of parting with a P08 rig I know I can never upgrade. The problem is that in Canada the value of Lugers is considerably less than in the US, so for obvious reasons I would prefer to sell it in the US. This would allow me to keep much of my other collectables, including other Lugers.
Normally I would not think this is worth the effort to sell out of the country, but this P08 is a true gem. An all matching BYF41 with black grips, two matching magazines and finish conservatively at least 90%. Loading tool, 1941 dated black holster and a cleaning rod as well. Brought back from a veteran of the South Saskatchewan Regiment, since then I am the second owner (previous owner has passed away).
I believe the demand for P08s in this condition are more in demand in the US than in Canada (mainly due to our government classifying this type of firearm as prohibited, except to a few select firearms owners).
Has anyone here either bought or sold to or from Canada a P08? How was the process? Was it worth it? Or just a major headache?
Sorry for being so long-winded, it is a difficult decision to part with this. Any help or input would be greatly apprecaited (For pics please check out the Member Gallery and search "My BYF41")
