I have a friend who keeps 6 Lugers that belonged to a relative on his wifes side in a box, in his closet! He had other interests that parallel mine, and I may be able to trade in to these.
I convinced him to let me keep them for a few weeks to do my due diligence, and he has agreed.
This particular gun is interesting in that it has all kinds of stampings on the barrel that the other 5 are void of. It also has Proof Marks that don't jive with the ones shown in the guide book by Aarron Davis.
It is a DWM, and has "1916" on the top. "Gesichert" under the safety.
Take a look at the pics, and you will see what I mean, one of the marks on the barrel looks like someone throwing up or heaving something.....
I have also included a picture of the Proof Marks.
I have had a problem trying to get an approx value on this one, as like I said the marks don't lead me to a definitive conclusion as to what it is.
