Default Swiss 9mm aluminum ammo, 1943

Just scored this little sealed box, together with a sample round, at a local collector's meet.

This 9mm version was only produced between 1941 and 1945. The box differs somewhat from the .30 luger versions. It also holds 16 rounds, but both sides can be opened up independently so that a magazine ration of 8 rounds can be removed from the box.



For comparison the more common .30 luger (7,65 parabellum) box:
