Ron, Heck I don't even know for sure myself...All I know is from experience and logic tells me brass or zink or any other metal is a poor method.
I have searched for years to find a source of period photo's of Saddlers at work. So far I have found only one and they were making PPK holsters or some such. Just cutting them out on a table. There must be some photo's of Luger holster making...Wish I knew where! I would hate to see this go down as a mystery never solved!
