Default spring type..

Hi Luke, It is a coil type designed to replace the original type mag. springs from 1900 thru the end of the folded sheetmetal mags.. it will work in the "fxo" type mag shells if the mag is modified to accept the standard wood or aluminum bottom with the hole for the spring to compress down into... this is quite a bit of work to modify one of these mags, but the results are quite spectacular.. with the best of both worlds in function and good looks!
The GTHQ spring for the P.08 mag was designed to barely come into spec. after 20 to 30 full (to solid) compressions.. then the spring would take a permanent set never to change again, until the end of its life... many thousands of cycles.... even if it changed ever so slightly, it would never exceed the mid point of acceptable set, and in this way, never drag on the mag shell itself... It will work on "in spec" originals, MEG-GAR, "fxo's" and ERMA, manufacture mags... when this spring was being set up for production, we stopped the run and changed the material specifications FOUR TIMES! Until it met with the test criteria that I had desired... I tested springs untill I had blisters on both thumbs and a lot of that was with loading tools... each time I had only 12 hours to re-spec, and effect a change... Call up a large manufacture and have him stop and change something in the middle of a production run, and see what that cost ya! As I said before, anytime you make any luger part, and make it correctly.. it has nothing to do with profit, it is simply a quest... I just can't seem to get enough! Best to you Luke... BTW, do you still have that Mauser toggle? I'm still game ... til...lat'r....GT
