Didn't think this was anything other than a regular WWI brown Luger holster. Don't think the person selling it saw the marking on the strap either.
Here is a picture of the inside of the lid, with another mark, a "JR41" and underneath a faint marking that looks like something that ends in a number 1.
Does this mean anything?
