Brit, Your holster is of the WW1 era military pattern made by Scherrell & CO. of Nordhausen, near Halle, so Tom A. is right again. I would bet the there is a 191? date below that marking. If too faint, just apply a bit of spit with your finger. It appears to have been originally made of brown leather and dyed black. The discoloration on the front, appears to have been caused by glue from an ID label. I would bet that the forum "luger holster repair" guy could get this looking good again. Tom
