Marking
 

So,I bought a nice little shooter from Ralph and am interested in what the markings are on the bottom of the barrel. They read from the proximal to distal end ZDF SLC UT P-O8 9mm.On the proximal end is what appears to be a 19 within a partial circle.Beneath this is what might have been another circle with some insignia within it. I can't make this out. Are these import marks or something else? I suspect that the ZDF SLC UT P-O8 9mm.buisness are some abbreviations auf Deutch aber meine Deutch ist jetzt nicht so gut.Thanks for the help!

The importer mark, SLC UT stands for Salt Lake City, Utah, I think!

ZDF is the import stamp of...

Hi Ray,


Most of these are importer markings


ZDF of Salt Lake City Utah was the importer.


P-08 is the firearm model


9mm is the chambering.


It should also be marked "Germany", or its place of origin. I'd have to see the other markings to be able to help :-(
