Need Unit Mark info
Updating will:
DWM-1918/20-matching #'s.(very good+cond./90%+fin. crown over RC marked on barrel. Unit Marks- 9./A.R.1.34. Is this 9th.Regiment-Army Reserve-1st.Company-34th pistol ?? or ??. What is history of this unit? What would be value of this Luger? Thank You in advance. |
I think you are pretty close...the AR is artillery regiment. And its first battery; which is a company sized unit in the artillery.
A gun in the condition you describe is not heavily sought by collectors, but it is still a bona fide piece of history. Pls do not futz with trying to make it shiney. I'd guess the value to be between $500-550 Tom A <img src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" border="0" alt="[bigbye]" /> |
I thought of Artillery but didn't think that was what it was because of too much coincendice with my service.
Too bad it isn't 2nd. Battery,I served with "B"(2nd) Battery of a 155m/m outfit. Thanks for the reply. |
