Erfurt mag?
This weekend I picked up a mag that I beleive is a 1918 Efurt, s/n 460 m, 1 on toe, CRN/D on heel. The mag is marked on the back spline: B.S.236. . Any help would be appreciated!

Sounds Erfurt, but was the 1918 date from chamber date of gun and is mag matched to gun? sounds interesting, can you post pictures

PL...I looked Still's Imp. Lugers and concluded a "m" S/N with a Crown Gothic Letter was a 1918 Erfurt. I'm definatley NOT an expert on such matters, so please advise. Sorry...no camera yet!!

OK, sounds 1914 to 1918 production,C/D sounds Erfurt, could spline be marked S.B.236?? not B.S.???? 1 on toe sounds police #1 mag and S.B. would be police but not sure B.S.?? please check and let me know

BB, I suspect that your "B.S." marking on the spine of your Erfurt mag, is a Weimar era police marking. I also have an Aluminum bottomed mag */k over 2 over #73, that is marked "B.S.106." on the spine. TH

PL and LD...mag is definatley marked B.S.235. .
Dot at end of 236. You are both probably right that this is a Weimer Police mag! Thanks, BB |
