Firing problem

I have a problem with a 1915 DWM luger. When in a shooting situation, the first round goes off smoothly, however, the next round(and all others after)require the trigger to be pushed forward.A click is heard when this is done and the gun fires fine. One,there is a spring behind the trigger. Two,this gun is 90+%with all matching parts.
What do you think is happening??

Check to make sure that there is freedom of movement for the spring-loaded pin that is in the front of the sear bar... this is the disconnector. Also make sure that the inside of the sideplate is clean and has no burrs or obstructions interfering with the moving parts... Check back here and let us know what you find... especially if cleaning and lubricating these parts and making sure that there is freedom of movement doesn't cure the problem.

Nein11,

If this gun is truly 90% original finish and all matching I highly recommend you do not fire it, it is much too valuable for that.

Nein, I agree with John that your disconnector is not pushing under your trigger lever between shots. Perhaps your disconnector spring is weak or you need to increase the bevel at the top of your trigger lever (inside side plate). TH
