All Pistols and Revolvers

that I have owned for accuracy:
.22: Colt Woodsman 4"
.22 Colt Woodsman 6" Match
.22 Colt Woodsman 6" Match (again)
.22 Smith and Wesson 41 5" Bull Barrel
.22 Smith and Wesson 41 5" Bull Barrel (again)
.22 Smith and Wesson 41 7.5" barrel
.22 Smith and Wesson 41 7.5" barrel (again)
.22 Smith and Wesson 41 7.5" Barrel (again!)
.22 Ruger Mark I
.22 Ruger Mark I (again)
.22 Ruger Mark II Bull Barrel X2 times
.22 Ruger Mark II 4" barrel X2 times
.22 Ruger Mark II 5" barrel x2 times
.22 Browning Challenger X3 times
.22 Nomad (Browning) 1X
.22 S and W 17 and 48 5X
.22 CZ 75 Conversion (from 9mm CZ 75) 2X.

No .22 was as accurate as my 9mm Luger with hardball or my WWII Colt with .45 Hardball.

Go figure.

My point is that a gun from WWII still beats, admirably, the competition today.
Think twice before dumping a thousand or more on these "Custom Pistols".

I like to fasten my pistols to an immovable object so that the bias of the hand does not influence the accuracy of a dis-favored pistol.
I also determine that the bullet is correctly loaded (not the shooter) for maximum accuracy.
