Police Holster
 

Here is a holster, the leather is very thin, also is very pliable. It is fine, not the best, but oh well.

I thought maybe it was damaged, thought it might be from oil, but I think the leather is just so darn thin? The stitching is not as white as the pictures make them.

Was this one a LP-08 holster in a previous life...looks like it from the old stitching lines/holes on the back...???

Ed, I am certain this holster has been 90% restitched. There are several places where the original stitching can be seen, the bottoms of the belt loops and the bottom stitching line for the liner.The bottom two lines of stitching on the hinge are also eligible unless the lighting is playing tricks... They are somewhat more yellow and hence, original I suspect. A really good job of it though.
Can you see if the stitching is cotton or not?

Pete, Yes, This is an Artillery conversion. You can see the stock block on the back and the line of holes on the front was for the cleaning rod pouch. Actually rare to see such a nice job of molding the toe...

I did the black light test and they glow like a son of a gun. But, the stitching is right in the right holes, they did a good job, its just the thread is too white for the rest of the holster...

But gives me another example to play with :)
