1938 Holster question
 

Any idea why this holster does not have the "P08" stamped into the back? Is this normal? Thanks all! http://boards.rennlist.com/lfupload/p08s42acc005.jpg

According to my book, they didn't start marking them P08 until mid-1940 when a general directive ordered that all equipment must be marked with mmodel/type of equipment.
