Ya Gotta See This! Priceless!

This guy has lost all sense of reality but I don't think he has lost all of his stupidity...

The description says it can be "waste" carried and it is priceless...Truer words were never spoken.

WWII German Officer's Luger Pistol (9mm) Holder taken from a deseased German Major in the Swiss Alps in 1945. This Luger Pistol Holder is manufactured by the finest leather German engineering produced during that period. It has a built-in 'clip' holder and is tooled in black leather to be used as either a shoulder holster or waste carried. Forgotten for over 56 years, this holster was recently found in a families locked safe. It is truly a fine piece and very well made. For the collector it is priceless.

Jerry,

That is a classic! It looks like it is displayed in a coffin. Some fine closeup pictures aren't they? Reminds me of my sister-in-law who got back from her vacation trip recently and proudly showed me a color print of a wild animal shot--there is an Elk in there somewhere but she is so far back you can't tell for sure what kind of animal it is!

What is amazing is that he thinks it is so valuable?

The top part is missing, so it's been modified, and he started it at $300 and reserve isn't met?

Amazing.

That is spoken perfectly, priceless.

I like the part about an "infected" German major wandering through the Swiss Alps.

Pete Ebbink 08-08-2003 03:28 PM

Did not realize the Germans invaded Switzerland...did I miss the date...?

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

The thing I find humorous is that the dummy paid at least $5 to list it! <img border="0" alt="[hiha]" title="" src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[hiha]" title="" src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[hiha]" title="" src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[hiha]" title="" src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" />

C'Mon you guys...Surely one of you has room in your collection for this gem! After all it's been locked away from our prying eyes in a safe for 56 years! I'm getting $300.00 worth of laughs out of this! Overnight Luger holsters have skyrocked! My small stash must be worth millions. If this sells I'm going to cut all of mine to rags and offer them on eBay....

George, Everytime I read this guys discription I see something I missed! Deseased!

Yeah Pete, Wandering the Swiss Alps...Took a wrong turn I guess. Probably got his holster sliced in half battling Swiss guards at the border. What a riot! Jerry

Ed Tinker - This is an email I just received from the seller, and why he thinks it is so valuable:

Jerry:

Thank you for your message. However, the value placed upon any item is as valuale as the buyer considers it to be. In this case, there are a limited number of these 'authentic' holster on the market. AND, the value here is the fact this holster had only one owner--the german officer it was taken off of.

The value?---what would you pay for a piece of history? Is the answer found in perception? or perhaps interpretation!

I have come across interesting things at antique shops, yards sales, and auctions, and then you look on e-bay and there are 10 of them for sale for $5.00 each and NO bids!

Obviously he has never done a search using (luger, lugar) holster because he would be surprised. Besides, the safes owner was an owner, he is the owner, that makes three, so he needs to at least cut the price in third! :D

He'll be forced to re-list and/or wonder why it didn't sell... And then after he has relisted a couple of times, he'll get a $15.00 bill from e-bay for the lisitng price and then a dollar foir each time he said "reserve" price.

Live and learn <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />

Ed, This guy might be the deseased German Major! After all he says it has only had one owner so it must be him!

lets see, He says this is manufactured by the finest leather german engineering produced during that period....Hmmm, if I have a fine BMW automobile and push it off a cliff, is it worth more or less? Maybe if it had only only one owner.....I can't wait to see what he re-lists this for after this auction closes. I don't know why but this looney really makes me happy! Jerry Burney
