7,65X19 moore
SEEMS THAT MANY ARE INTERESTED OF MY PARABELLUM PROJEKT.
MOORE INFO: CAST BULLE THAT I USE IS LEE 311-100-2R ORIGINALLY FOR 32 CAL REVOLVER. I SITZE IT FOR ,311 CAST FROM LINOTYPE WEIGHT IS 90GR FROM WHEEL WEIGHT 98GR. I HAVE USED LINO IN 7,65x19. WORKS WELL IN PARABELLUM, I HAVE 2 TOPS FOR SAME GUN 7,65 PARABELLUM 6" AND 7,65x19 6". IN PARABELLUM I USE 4,7GR N340 AND IN 7,65x19 I USE 4,4GR N340. DIES WE MDE FROM RCBS 7,65 PARABELLUM DIES BY SHORTENING THE 2,8mm. THIS MAKES 7,65x19 CASE WITCH HAS SLIGHTLY SHORTER NECK THAN 7,65 PARABELLUM. CASES WE USED AS A HEAD SPACE GAUGE AND CAMBER WAS REAMED WITH CLYMER 7,65 REAMER, FREE BORE WAS LENGHTENED WITH ,30 CAL REAMER. WHEN LOADED TO LENGHT 29,5mm I DO HAVE 2mm FREE BORE. BARREL WAS A PIECE OF TIKKA (HEY WE ARE IN FINLAND) BIG CALIBER IS 7,88mm SO I SITZE ,311. I HAVE USED ALL SORTS OF 9mm CASES AND BEST SEEMS TO BE SELLIER BELLOT. COST FOR BARREL FRONT SIGHT(FROM SAKO RIFLE) BLUEING WAS 500FIM THAT IS ABOUT 90 USD. WHOLE CARTRIDGE IS LOADED TO LENGHT 29,5mm SAME AS I USE IN 7,65 PARABELLUM, IT FEEDING AND FUNKTION IS EXELENT. I HAVE NO SIGNS OF HIGH PRESSURE, I HAVE NOT TESTED THE SPEED OF THIS LOAD, IT IS JUS INAF TO LOCK THE TOGLE BACK AFTER LAST SHOT. SO I DO HAVE A NICE GUN FOR PLINKING AND NO PROBLEM OF LOST CASAES. CASES I HAVE DINE WITH ONE PAS TO MY SHORTENED DIE, WORKS WELL IN RCBS ROCK CHUKKER. FOR LUBRIKATION I HAVE USED EWERYTHING FROM SOAP WATER TO MACHINE OIL. . PIECE OF TRUE LIFE: IN SCHOOL DAYS 25 YEARS AGO I HAD THEATCHER WHO HAS BEEN IN FAFFEN SS DURING 39-44. HE HAD PARABELLUM LEFT FROM THAT TRIP. SOMEWHERE IN SEWNTIES HE DESIDE THAT HE NEEDS LICENS (IN FINLAND WE DO). HE WENT TO POLICE STATION AND TOOK GUN FROM HIS POCKET PUT IT ON THE DESK AND TOLD TO POLICE CHIEF THAT HE NEEDS LICENCE FOT THAT. PLICE MAN WAS YOUN AND ASKED DO YOU KNOW HOW TO USE IT. MY THEATCHER ANSWER WAS: MY DEAR SON I KNOW EXATLY HOW TO USE IT. (I THINK HE HAD EDUCATION FOR THAT) |
Re: 7,65X19 moore
Wow, Esko, your project is just great!! I really think you are onto something! Wonder who would supply barrels in the USA cut with this chamber? This could really bring shooting the 30 Luger (or approximately 30 Luger) back in popularity! I enjoy shooting the 30 myself but find myself shooting the 9mm more due to availablity of loaded ammo. Thanks for a great project and the good report! ~Thor~

Re: 7,65X19 moore
You should name it ".30 esko para" or "7.65 esko para"
I think you have a pretty neat idea, Good luck with it in the future! I'm impressed! (so is Panzer!) till...later...G.T. |
Re: 7.65 esko para
"I like it!!" Bis Spaeter! ~Thor~

Re: 7.65 esko para
Esko - could you do us a great favour? If you´ve got a scanner, could you put a bullt, a loaded round and any of the parts that are handy on the scanner glass, scan them and send the pictures to this page. I for one, would greatly appreciate it. Patrick
P.S. What does "sisu" mean? |
Re: 7.65 esko para
SORRY NO SCANNER
|
Esko, Why do you use all caps in your posts?
I don't know about the others, but I for one would appreciate it if you would use lower case letters because it makes it easier to read.
I think you have a great project going there. Too bad you don't have a scanner. Perhaps a friend in Finland would be able to scan your efforts so we could see your work? Thanks, John Sabato |
Re: 7.65 esko para
S*+#!! Patrick

GT...
Cmon, admit it, it doesn't take a whole lot to impress Panzer!
|
Re: GT...
I'm afraid your right Hugh! On the food chain, Panzer is just slightly above dry dog food! But! His heart is in the right place! till...later...G.T. BTW Hugh! We should team up and build us one of those 7.65 esko para's?
|
Re: GT...
Can I get in on this one?

Re: GT...
![]() This does seem like a great idea for Luger Shooters and bullet casters. There are places you can buy cast bullets from that will size to your specs. I would opt for a .310" sized bullet based on what I have seen "miked", but a .311" cast bullet might be the ticket too! There is bound to be something I could contribute to these three pistols! Thor

Re: GT...
![]() I too think the 7.65 esko para has a lot of promise! If for no other reason then the fun involved with a fresh idea! As we would be scratch building the barrel, we could start with any blank, bore dia., you would think correct, I would like to make it a 6" barrel with approximately the same contour as the 1900/06 pencil thin barrel, with 7.65 esko para. lazer etched on it, on a 20 comm. receiver!.....I think the reduced mass might help or enhance function, The idea has merit.....till...later.....G.T.

Re: GT...
Hey you guys! Iv'e got too many projects now! Ya'll go for it. Ted, do you want me to put your baby aside while I start on this? Besides I have 1000 30 Luger brass on the shelf!
|
Re: GT...
Hey Hugh! Don't worry! It'll be down the road for all of us! As I'm sure Ted has plenty to do also, and I have about a 100 mag bottoms to make....but on the other hand, I think this is a future must do!! Lets keep in touch on it, hopefully esko will continue to improve his neat wildcat!! Perhaps he will want to pursue it with us....at any rate, Thank you esko! For this neat deviation from the usual stuff! till...later...G.T.
