Hello,

I'm looking for a nice P08 holster to go with my 1936 P08.

What are your comments on the one on this website:

Kris, I cannot see this without registering, which I did.I have to wait for a password. As soon as I can view this I will give you my opinion for what it's worth.

Holsters are relatively easy to aquire on Ebay. Take a look there as well for comparison, if nothing else. If you come accross something of interest let me know and I will look it over for you if you need an opinion. Jerry Burney

Well, I can see I probably won't trip over holsters in the Old Country!
I think just like America, the old stuff has mostly been picked through and picked up and just gets released as it comes onto the market every now and then.
When I was over in Belgium, I picked up 2 or 3 American clocks from the 1890's. They had made it over there over time and I bought them, figured eventually they'd want t go back home and now they are back in the US. This is much as the collectors over there are looking to our shores for holsters!

Hello,

Thanks already for your reply's.
Edward, so if i understand well this is a holster not worth buying? The price is € 255 or $ 276.37.

Kind regards,

Kris

No, sorry Kris, that sounds a little bit high, I just meant that it might be harder to find holsters in Europe (I am coming there for a visit in March). You can get pretty good prices in the US, but with shipping, import fees, etc., that is probably an okay price, plus I think you are looking for an unusual year? But I am the wrong guy to ask about a 1936. Sorry,

Ed

Ok Edward, no worry's. Sorry if i understood it wrong, it'll be the a language interpretation problem :)

Yes, i understand what you're meaning, if you count the shipping costs it comes at approx. the same price range. I'd like a nce period 'brown' one. I think that would go the best with a '36 P08.
I think 1935 holsters are relatively scarce.

Kind regards,

Kris :p

Kris I like the brown ones also, but don't have one! I will keep looking and pick one up as time permits. I personnaly have started pointing my interests in the Weimar police era, and so will learn and buy from that direction. And your english is much better than my Flemish and my french is none but the very basics! So, yes if we misunderstand each other, we'll just laugh and have a drink! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />
