Need advice on this holster...
How much would you guys say it is worth in it's current state? I'd also know if the holster should be restored or left as is? I'm totally new to this and have my first thread in the new member section but I want some more info on this holster...
The holster is marked Franz Cobau Berlin 1935 http://img73.exs.cx/img73/2521/Gun1.jpg http://img73.exs.cx/img73/326/Gun2.jpg |
Robert, A 1935 Police holster is worth in the $175-$200+ range, depending on the buyer. As far as restoring? Unless it is coming apart, or is damaged, leave it in as original condition as possible.

Robert, There does not appear to be anything wrong with it from the few photo's I have seen. I agree with Ron here...No need to fix something that aint broke. Anything loose or falling off?
Don't put any shoe polish on it or anything else for that matter. Pull up strap seems to be there...Are the belt loops anchored on alright? Jerry Burney |
For being how old it is the holster is in better shape than some of my CCW holsters that I actually carry everyday. The belt loops are very tight and there is nothing loose or falling off. What is the best way to preserve this holster from now on then? Wrap it in a towel? Plastic ziplock bag? I live in Las Vegas so humidity is not a problem at all here.

Robert, the best way to preserve it is to keep it in a dry place. Living in Lost Wages, you should be ok, but I still wouldn't put it into anything like plastic bags that can hold in moisture...

Robert, I keep mine in plastic storage drawers. The little modular 3 drawer units you can get at Walmart, Target ,etc. About $5 each. They can breath. Don't hold moisture, and keep the dust off. I have several for all of my good holsters. They are stackable also.

Thanks guys, I'll just store it away then!
