A truely fine 1939 holster
I just added a new album to the Member Gallery that contains photos of a 1939 Luger holster in absolutely excellent condition. These photos are courtesy of Andrew Rytwinski.
Here is a teaser photo... http://gallery.rennlist.com/lugeralb...er_a.sized.jpg |
That is one outstanding holster - you cannot beat that with a stick!
Are there any maker marks on the rear of the holster and which type of Luger would accompany this holster? Cheers, Albert |
Hi Albert,
The maker mark is the same as the name of the photo album in the Member Gallery. "It is a 1939 original German WWII brown holster marked KIMNACH u BRUNN KAISERLAUTERN with a waffenamt Waa416 inspector's mark." says the owner. I have no information on the Luger that this holster carried... It is obvious that it didn't carry a pistol for very long... It's condition is almost too good to be true... But it IS true. I have inquired as to where this holster has been hiding for 64 years, but as yet have not received a reply. |
Absolute great picture!
