Just met Ralph Shattuck
 

Just had the honor of meeting Ralph and his lovely wife, Nancy. They were at the Ohio Gun Collectors Gun Show in Cleveland this weekend.


He was very glad to hear I knew of the Lugerfourm.com and we shared several stories. One I don't quite understand - Frank, why are you the only one that he charges admission to WOL?


Anyway, they are super people and I understand why you all hold them in such high regard. I'll have to see if I can get out to AZ sometime to meet the rest of ya'll. (at a March get together)

Bob, that is great news! Ralph has a good sense of humor! It is quite a nice visit at the WOL and I cant wait to go back! I hope to have my Baby Luger with me courtesy that great magician Hugh Clark (who you will get to meet also) and can show off a new type of rust bluing I have come up with (experimenting right now)Ralph and Nancy really roll out the red carpet for all the Luger Forum DIGNITARIES (all of us the treat like royalty)They are such nice people and so open with their place. Hope they have some Krieghoffs left (JD)to look at when we get there, lol! Ralph and Nancy have been such a big help to me and given me great guidance as well as sold me some down right awesome beautiful Lugers! Ted

I guess my ole buddy Ralph takes my wife's nickname for me to heart. He therefore charges me admission to his home so he can hire someone to clean the drool off all his Lugers!!! How's that Dok?

Every one is so right about the Shattuck duo. I any hope that Ralph realizes that his biggest trophy is his wonderful wife. I would love to visit them in Arizona but it would take more than one day to see all his lugers and I bet that they would not let me sleep in their spare bedroom because that is their display room now.


I live not too far from they used to live in West Bloomfield Twp., Mich and there are a lot of people here who claim to have known them when they were here. Probably more than have actually met them.


Good people are hard to forget. I keep reminimg Ralph that now that he is a star on stage and screen with maybe a lucrative TV contract from History Of The Gun that he could afford to have a free WOL. He would not listen to me. Hey! I tried.
