1920's Navy # 2...?
Can this be...? Serial # 2 for a 1920's commercial Navy...?

Pete,
this is a nice picture of a 1920 navy. More pictures and info would be better. It is another example of a Luger that I personally would like to examine for my own info. Does it have the usual Weimar black bluing? Does it have a rear toggle pin with a small head on it? What type of magazine bottom does it have? What is the size of the numbering on the frame and rear toggle? So on and so forth. The low serial number is interesting given that era's 'put anything together' policy of making commercial Lugers. FWIW,
I have dealt with this firm before and found them to be 100% reliable. Tom A. |
This is the same gun that was listed by, I believe, the Devine Auction in New Hampshire in December.

Maybe I am missing it...but how can a 1920's era Commercial have a serial # 2...?...weren't the Commercial ranges much higer by then...?
Forgive my ignorance... Regards, Pete... http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfuploa...king_copy3.gif |
