"These guns have been stripped, nickeled, and engraved to the original owners specifications". The original owner must have been an irrational uninformed (wealthy unfortunately) "show off" to have had these guns "raped" by said artist engraver. What a way to "destroy" two eloquent statements of history!

Hello Doc,

I agree with your statement, completely...

But if I remove myself from the element of what was done to some really fine Navy lugers, I can still see the dedication and artistry of the craftsman (or woman) who spent years honing their engraver's skill...from this strictly near-sighted perspective, I see lots of beauty there...

Similar to those photos of the engraved carbine I sent you...
