Its a shooter!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi all, I posted when I bought my 1918 DWM capture luger some months ago. I was having probs with it jamming when fired offhand. I bought a couple of megar magazines, and today while out on a indian artifact trip, I had a chance to fire it. What a difference. it banged out a box (50) of Wolf 115 gr with out a hitch. I even rapid fired a couple of 5 shot strings. Awesom!!!! What a pleasure to carry a pistol with the looks and history of an original luger, and have it perform perfectly! I am a happy camper!!!!, Duane

Duane,
Wolf ammo is not good for Lugers. It uses steel cases, and can really hammer an original Luger like yours. If I were you, I would find some brass cased 115 or 125 gr. fmj round-nosed ammo, or look into reloading your own. I have read several posts on this forum cautioning against using Wolf ammo. I shoot it in my Glock, but that's another story. All the best, DougT. |
I have found that Winchester "Luger" 9mm 115gr ammo is probably a better choice than "Wolf" ammo.
I have never had a jam in my shooter due to ammo malfunction using the winchester. Semper-Fi USMC <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" /> |
Ditto on Wally Mart Winchester ammo. Wolf ammo sucks.
