Original Luger takedown tool

Got my "First Luger" an S/42 1937 . What would be the correct proofed take down tool for this model? Anyone know where I can purchase one? thank you

Hi Bruce, I suspect the best acceptance mark (Note: these are technically not called proof marks) would be a droop wing eagle-over-63. If the suffix of the Luger is Z (number higher than about 5000), no suffix, A or B, then a stick wing eagle-over-63 would be appropriate.

These are available on ebay, but you might try Tom Heller (Forum name Lugerdoc), search for Member #32.

Hope this helps!!

Frank et al, I do have most E/63 or E/655 original Mauser mag loading tools available in the $50 to $75 range, depending on condition. Tom
