Luger Expert in MD, PA, VA
Hello all,
I inherited a Luger 1902 Carbine several years ago and would like to take it to a Luger "expert" to get his evaluation of what I should do with the piece. Have a rework done, leave as is, or possibly sell to a Luger collector - someone that would appreciate the piece. All serial numbers match, have the shoulder stock and the cleaning rod. Don't have the original magazine. So if anyone knows of a Luger expert/collector in Maryland, Northern Virginia or southeast PA please drop me a line. Regards, Mike |
Where exactly are you located Mike? I live in Winchester and work in Herndon, VA. I don't claim to be an expert... but I do have a good eye for the details... I have studied the Luger for about 40 years and guess you would call me a relatively knowledgeable individual (RKI) when it comes to them.
You can send me a private message if you don't want to go public with your location. |
Mike,
I live in central PA. Contact me by private mail, would be glad to assist you in any way that I can. Welcome to the forum! Best regards, Carl |
Well, I am not an expert either, but I have read over 5 books on Lugers plus I have my own small collection. I travel to Bethesda, MD every ten days or so in Coast Guard business. If your location is on my way or not too far from it, I will be happy to stop by. Even just to check it out and share some stories. My email address is salmaster@earthlink.net.
Good luck. Tony |

Mike, strange, but no icon to contact you directly like everybody else...anyway, I would be interested in talking to you about the carbine. I am in North Carolina but have a car and can travel! You can email direct at vanguardmrktng@hotmail.com

Unless a poster checks that they will receive private mail, then it doesn't show up. I am not sure if they feel it is too much trouble or are unsure of how to do it.
Same with a location, at least a state is nice, but some feel more paraniod than others. |
Ed is right, receiving private messages is an option that you must turn on in your profile... Most opt for it, but a few members opt out, probably because of bad experiences on other boards that are not a civilized as this one

Private message is turned on now. Thanks for the info.
