sunburst K

I know I have read this before, but what does a "sunburst K" marking on the bottom of a magazine represent?

TIA

Weimar police "Kriminalpolizei"

It is also described as the acceptance mark of police small arms inspector Krause in Gortz and Bryans on pg 133. That being said, it shows up a lot to be one inspectors mark so policeluger may be correct. The two police mags I have both have different styles of sunburst K marks.
