Welcome indeed Randy,

Wes is right... Some nice looking stuff on your website!

I hope you enjoy visiting the forum often.

Yes Randy is here...can't help but remember the time he offered a total matching Luger with two matching clips, after several phone calls on the condition, and confirming it was all matching, I sent off my money. The gun came all matching except for the side plate, he would not even refund my two way shipping cost as I returned the gun as not being as advertized. Yes I do remember the bad deals and have never answered another of his ads... I bet I get booted off the forum for my comments, but all true

Policeluger:

If you get booted off the forum for speaking the truth, then the forum has no purpose for existing.

Frank 08-28-2002 06:08 PM

Garfield, I don't know what is happening!! I have to agree with you AGAIN. Sometimes the truth hurts!!

Thor 08-28-2002 06:10 PM

Others seem to know the address of Randy's website. How about a URL for us that dont have it? Thanks!

HC, when the story is so direct and first hand, how can you take it but as the truth.

wterrell 08-28-2002 08:01 PM

Mr. Bessler is the seller offering the M1900-M1906 holster we were discussing on the holster forum.

If I ever buy another Luger again, I want Garfield to look at it before I drop down any money for it.

Randy, Prepare for a bumpy ride. I suspect that some past transgressions, may come back to haunt you.

John Sabato 08-29-2002 04:12 PM

What some Luger dealers have failed to realize is that this Luger forum is 500 members strong world wide (but mostly in the U.S.) that are Luger owners, collectors and enthusiasts that now have a public medium where all the rest of them can hear a single voice... This is unprecedented in history. It may very well change the definition of a satisfactory transaction...

What some of the members should know is that as long as you conduct yourself with manners and respect, you won't get bumped off this forum for telling the truth, the WHOLE truth... and you know know the rest... as long as the story is told in the FIRST PERSON...no hearsay.

I didn't see anywhere above where it was stated that a refund didn't take place for an unsatisfactory transaction. What I saw was statement that said that shipping was not refunded.

Refunding the shipping for merchandise that was not as advertised would have been the prudent business thing to do in this day and age of instant communications... Tom Heller is right about old transactions that may have been considered to be of no consequence at one time, will now start haunting persons who thought they got away with something...

as always, GET THE TERMS IN WRITING...before you plunk down your money... Get plenty of advice, get photographs, protect yourself...

and the lesson to be learned today is that "Nowadays", Caveat Emptor has a companion saying: Caveat Vendor

John and all...I am sorry I did not state that I indeed did get a full refund. But after several phone calls, all at my cost, I was very upset that it was not as advertized. Yes he should have paid me back for shipping, and if you asking yourselves was I interested in it at a lower price, and did I ask him to refund a part of the cost, no I did not. I was willing to pay his price, I expected his word of honor. Instead he tried to get me to keep it as it did have two original mags. When everyone was asking a while back on the forum who were the dealers you could trust and who you couldn't, I stayed off the line. I bought my first luger over 43 years ago, have dealt and dinned with most the names, and while I have returned a few guns that through mail/phone/auction buys that I was not happy with, this was the deal that I felt lied to. I have worked with and gotten guns from Jones/Datig/Shattuck/Costanzo/Heller/Drollinger/Surgerman at River Bend/Simpson and others I have forgotten, this is the one place of business I have never gone back to. This is not the fun game it was 30 years ago, and will most likly be the reason I sell out someday, anyway I will be off line and buffalo hunting for a few day, if you want to question me, or blast me, I'll be back in a few days

I do not recall this specific transaction but if the Luger was described as all matching it was very likely that way when shipped. If not, and I made a mistake I would refund "policeluger" return shipping costs. If "policeluger' wants to call me on the phone (Not Collect), I will be happy to go over this transaction and if it was my error he will get a check for his shipping costs.

This man, gentlemen, is a 'top-drawer' dealer! You could not ask for a greater effort to deal honestly.

I recently bought a Roth Steyr holster and two books from Mr Bessler. The service was courteous and the goods arrived promptly - 4 days to the UK without paying a fortune for shipping is pretty good in my book. When I opened the package everything was exactly as described and I'm very pleased with my purchase. I'd certainly buy from him again and would have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

policeluger 03-01-2003 02:54 PM

I have noted his phone # and will contact him. I am still very upset over the deal, but lets see what he offers....

Navy 03-01-2003 03:03 PM

I have had one occasion to do business with Mr. Bessler and although I elected to return the item, the refund was handled professionally and courteously. I would not hesitate to do business with him in the future.

Having "horse traded" with Randy for many years, I consider him one of the good guys in the business. If your not satisfied, he will make it right. None of us are in the business to make a profit from S&H charges and hate to see returns, but to stay in business as long a Randy has, he has to keep his customers satisfied. Tom H.

Notwithstanding the one complaint by Police Luger, which Randy has offered to make right, I have had excellent dealings with Mr. Bessler.I would not hesitate to do further business with this gentleman. He produces an excellent list of weapons and accoutrements. Jerry Burney
