Yes!

Glad you found the forum, Wil.

Another Dutch native won over to the wonderfull world of Luger-shooting!

We will be trying out this new VoPo tomorrow. I had a chance to look at it at a local gunshow and it is a very nice example, with no messed-up parts like some Vopo's. This one's crisp down to the serial number on the firing pin (no etched substitute, etc...).

The great condition of the parts, together with the VoPo barrel will make this one nice shooter!

let's find out

Indeed a very nice shooter! very accurate!
But, as in all things of age, a bit brittle. as i was firing it, it fell apart, due to a loose spring or lockingbolt. Fortunately Gerben had a replacement, so I could continue shooting.
Now I'm looking for a locking bolt and -spring (#24 and #25 in parts-list) preferrably stamped #31 ( as my luger has serial# 5531).
Who can offer me that?

Yes,

The locking bolt/takedown lever was a bit worn, probably as the result of the failure of the original spring. During shooting the bolt went into 'dissasembly mode' and the luger was field stripped during firing :)

No harm done and a replacement bolt was quickly installed. And as expected, a darn nice shooter!

perhaps refurbishing the old locking bolt? as i understand adding a 'new' part with matching number equalls fraud??

Well, don't worry about it. 'Boosting' is certainly not appreciated. Trying to present something as something it is not.

Simply restoring a shooter to working order using parts on hand isn't really a problem.

If you manage to find a replacement part with the same number and you clearly state that fact when you want to sell the pistol is allright in my book.
