Stainless steel information wanted

Earlier I posted a request for information on the stainless steel guns and have only recieved 2 replies. I am hoping that having its own thread will help. I would like to try to make a timeline of when changes were made to these guns and would like the following information about any of them that you have or see at a show:

1) American Eagle chamber stamp (Yes or No)

2) Year of manufacture (if not known then puchase year)

3) Is the year stamped on the chamber (Yes or No)

4) Serial number placement (right side, left side, front)

5) Mitchell, Stoeger or no markings on left side

6) Safety markings (Safe, red dot, plain dot)

7) Grip safety (Yes or No)

8) Stock lug (Actual lug, bulge with no slot, or plain frame)

9) Right side marked AIMCO or SPM

10) Magazine style (Original with vertical rib or new with flat sides)

If I can collect enough examples I will compile the information so we can have an idea of what changes were made when. While I thank the couple of of people who have answered, it is not enough to determine very much.

Even if you just see one at a show, please write the information down and post it or send me a private message. Enjoy these latest variations on George Lugers' masterpiece!

I have owned four of these pistols. Still own all but the 1992 Mitchell.

Mitchell Arms American Eagle

Eagle and date on chamber
AIMCO INC HOUSTON TEXAS on right frame
Serial number on left flat
Standard ribbed magazine
(all three as above)

1991 46XX
1992 unknown
1993 36XX

Not that the serial numbers are not consecutive. Should the chamber date be considered part of the serial as in the case of a vintage Parabellum?

Stoeger

Eagle on chamber, no chamber date
"Luger" logo on left flat
STOEGER IND AMERICAN EAGLE on right frame
Serial number above trigger on right S21XX
SPM HOUSTON TEXAS on right
Flat magazine, not interchangeable with standard magazine

Thank you Unspellable. The serial numbers are very interesting. This is the information that I am trying to get so now I am up to seven guns.

No chamber date.

S/N placed above trigger on right side of frame.

"Luger" on left frame above grip, "Stoeger Ind. American Eagle, Cal 9mm Luger" on fwd right side of receiver. There's also a bullseye type of insignia that's to the rear of the text.

Red or green dot safety markings.

No grip safety.

Stock lug is bulge with no slot.

Right frame above grip is marked "SPM Houston, TX USA"

Magazines are flat sided with the chamber eagle on the sides of the plastic bottoms.
