Nice 1970's Mauser...
The folks at Simpson's have this very nice luger for sale...thought folks might enjoying seeing the photos. It was not located in the Luger section, but in the Mauser section and a bit easy to miss :
http://www.simpsonltd.com/Showroom/M...4269/D4269.htm I know this might not be everyone's "cup-o-tea". but it sure is a pretty one...IMHO... Regards, Pete... http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/applause.gif |
Very beautiful Mauser Parabellum. I love the 1970 Mauser production. What is the price of this beauty.
Thanks Mauro |
Mauro,
Here is the link to the page that shows the asking prices...another Mauser special luger is also shown for sale... If these sold for $ 2000 or so when new, that is a nice investment for the original buyers... I think I was spending money on girls in disco's during the 1970's...should have looked at these Mausers... :( http://www.simpsonltd.com/Showroom/Mauser/mauser.htm Regards, Pete... |
Thank you Pete. Another important topic concerning these pistols is the fact that are traceable. I mean it is possible to know the original owner and also there is a certificate signed by Mr. Gminder that increase the value.
I guess that in the today market, where there are a lot of Lugers and accessories faked, finding these kinds of items is a pleasure. I guess these Lugers are an investment also today. Ciao |
A pair of very similar guns was purchased by a LF member (if I recall Tom A.) a year or so ago...wonder if the set was resold to Simpson's and the set was separated for individual sale...?

Good memory. I was the winning bidder but the seller couldn't get the paperwork squared away for the transfer until some 11 months after the deal, at which time I was no longer interested (Read: had spent the $9K on a couple of other goodies, some of which have been posted here:-)).

Pete, the top one in your photo was at the LV show, but I can't recall if the other was there or not. I didn't ask the price.

Hello Herb,
Do you recall who was selling the top one, or was it the new owner doing a show & tell ? Regards, Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" /> |
