Buddy List Feature...?

I think I know how the Ignore List feature works for Private Messages (having had to use it only one time...), but could someone explain how the Buddy List feature works...?

Regards,

Pete... <img src="graemlins/yltype.gif" border="0" alt="[typing]" />

From above you on your right is a faq, it says this:

[quote]Changing Your Profile
You may easily change any info stored in your registration profile, using the "profile" link located near the top of each page. You must be logged in in order to update your profile.
Ignore Lists
Ignore lists apply to private messages only. Anyone you add to your ignore list can no longer send you a private message. You can put someone on your ignore list by viewing the member's profile and clicking on the "add to ignore list" link. Private messaging must be enabled on this site in order to use buddy lists.

Buddy Lists
Buddy lists apply to private messages only. Anyone you add to your buddy list is stored in handy location, so that you can easily send the person a private message. You can put someone on your ignore list by viewing the member's profile and clicking on the "add to ignore list" link. Private messaging must be enabled on this site in order to use buddy lists. So, it explains a little, but I haven't seen any advantages in doing this?

Ed,

The advantage is that you don't have to do a search for one of your "buddies" posts in order to send them a private message.

But where does it keep that info John? At the beginning, I made a couple of people "buddies" and I don't see a place or area for that?

heh, heh, buddies, what a name...
