I Still Cannot Get to the Old Board Info

I have wanted to look at information that was on the old board several times lately. No matter what I search for it comes up with nothing.

There was a lot of useful and interesting info there. Is it gone? I hope not.

I get the same results... I have requested that John D. check it...

Hi Mike..

Let me take a look tomorrow, OK??? I know the posts are there, so I'll take a look at the code and the core server PL/CGI files, and see what the problem is, OK?

Best to you,

John D.

Hi Mike..!

Can you give it a try again, and let me know if your SEARCH comes up with anything???

Thanks!!

Dwight Gruber 04-29-2003 10:52 AM

No joy here. Doesn't even give any results in a search for "Luger"!

Works fine for me! You just have to remember to click on the "dot" for the "between" dates. If you leave it at "posted within the last 4 hours" selection, which is the default and probably should be removed, you will not get any results. Thanks for fixing this John D., there is still a lot of good information on the old forum, probably enough to write a book!

John,

Sorry for taking so long to respond. I was away.

The initial screen has:

"Oldest available message: 31 December 1969
Newest available message: 31 December 1969"

I just tried several searches (see below) with
no luck.

"40 months", trigger, luger
"31 December 1969 to 31 December 2002", trigger,
luger
"31 December 1990 to 31 December 2002"

Hi Mike..!

No problem at all on the delayed reply..! Let me try a few things in a few minutes - and then see if they work for you, OK? What I'm going to do - is when you go to the old Forum - I'll resend your browser a new "Cookies" and that should change your old settings.. In the meantime - I had to just take that database off-line to do it - so I'll post back later when it's set for you to try again, OK?

Best to you!!!

John

Hi Mike.

Can you give it a try now? As well - please be sure you select the correct time frame, as you did before - and post back if it works for you...

Best to you!

Edward Tinker 05-04-2003 08:35 PM

John, I could get it to work now also. Could not get it to work the other day either.

Works swell now, :)

Thanks for the feedback, Buddy..!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> I hope it works for Mike as well..!!!

mikeruth 05-08-2003 10:20 PM

It is working now. Thank you for your help.
I am spending my free time tonight reading several
old posts that I wanted to refresh my memory with.
