New Years Homepage Change
 

Considering that I will probably not have Internet Access on New Year's Eve, I have decided to give you all an early New Year's present.

The Lugerforum.com homepage has just undergone a revision to display on an exclusive basis, a remarkable Luger animation that has been generously provided for our use by one of our own members.

This animated Luger sequence graphic is copyrighted by Mr. G�©rard Henrotin, of Belgium. The animation cannot be downloaded because it is copyrighted material, but can be ordered. The animation is technically accurate showing the full loading and firing sequence of the P.08 Pistol.

The drawings used within the animation are from his printed book (in French): " La Connaissance du Luger,â?� Mr. Henrotin is also the author of several ebooks on various firearms. This animation is normally an option you can buy on a disk when purchasing this book.

You will see the animation the next time you log in to the Lugerforum.com homepage (provided you flush your cache of the old page). The animation takes a long time to load for those using a dial-up connection, but this will only be true the first time you visit...

I am always amazed about how long it takes AOL to "catch up" with a change like John made to the home page. Still not showing the new page at the time of this post. But, when I go to the Forum via IE, the new page is alive and well.

I have been looking at it from my work computer with a T4 direct connection line and the animation goes too fast to really see it if you do not know how it already works.

I just looked at it from home with a dial-up and it goes slow enogh to understand. Is there a way to slow it down on a fast connection?

Yes there is, have all your friends download music off of the internet at the same time, plus send 20 mb files to a bunch of your friends.

Otherwise, probably not. :D
