Luger reciever wrench

Re: Luger reciever wrench
This wrench looks as if it will do the job. Should certainly scratch receivers as well. Wonder how much 2lb. hammer the handle will take to break loose the tough ones. If you are a ww1 or ww2 armourer in the field and in a hurry ---go for it-- other wise I vote no on this for collector use. How much does this beast cost?

Re: Luger reciever wrench
Art,
What's your problem? Overall length is 16". This wrench DOES NOT scratch the reciever, as it fits it like a glove. It leaves no marks on the reciever and will not warp it ! No hammer is necessary as the long handle gives plenty of leverage for breaking loose tight barrels. However, you need a good barrel clamp to hold the barrel. I did not make this wrench, it came from a closed gunshop in Florida. The price is high, $300, which is what I paid for it and I am only selling it because I have another one. How many Luger reciever wrenchs have you seen for sale lately? In my humble opinion, it is an EXCELLENT wrench for collectors! |
Re: Luger reciever wrench
None---sorry! I just know about a better way. But then my 30 years experience may not be valuable. Hope you sell the tool. Seem a reasonable price. Barrel holding is the catch to successful removal. I have experience in this area and could share Via US Mail if any interest.
