Commercial Luger Cartridges
 

Here are a few different manufacturers of 7.65mm & 9mm

cartridges from my collection. Some are old and some are fairly recent but all are different whether it be by type of box or type of bullet. The box on top is primed brass by Western Cartridge Company. Can any of you older guys date this one for me? I think it pre-dates me.(I'll be 41 tomorrow). Steve M

Sorry I can't help with the cartgidge boxes. I can add, the only cartridge boxes that I have seen issued during WWII contained 16 rounds. I guess that would be 2 complete loads!! You do have a German box of 9mm, could that be commercial?

The German box I believe is commercial; there are no military designations on it anywhere. The case heads are marked DWM with the case number of 480C. BTW, thanks for the Happy B-day.
