30 Luger shooters!
Widener's Reloading and Shooter's Supply, Inc is closing out new, unprimed Winchester 30 Luger brass. $139.00 per 1000, free shipping. Item # WSC30LU. Widner's has a website but it is awful.
Their toll free number is 1-800-615-3006 for orders only. If you order be sure to ask for a catalog as they have all kinds of good stuff. You just never know when production of 30 Luger components is going to stop for 25 years. (or forever) They do not have the proper bullets in stock and I think no one is producing the 93gr fmj. 60 gr 30 Luger Bullets
![]() The Speer .312 60 gr Gold Dot bullets resized to .309 make fantastic varmint bullets in the 30 Luger. I have worked up some loads for this bullet that turn Armadillos inside out!
If anyone is interested in using them, I will sell a box of 100 resized to .309 for $20 + $5 postage and supply reloading data. If anyone wants just the reloading data, contact me; its free. |
Re: 30 Luger shooters!
you need to invent and retro fit a brass catcher on your .30 Luger... that'll make the problem go away
|
Oh Oh, I was just gettting the urge
![]() to get a 30 Luger Shooter. I have several 30's, but no shooters for Ted to give it a Total Doll Job (TDJ).

Re: 30 Luger shooters
Frank,
You have got to have at least one! They are a blast! Pun intended! I have a 6", a 4 3/4", and a 4". All I need now is to find one of those 8" bbls in 30L they made back in the early years. Much more fun than shooting a hum drum 9 mm. |
Oh thanks for the encouragement.
By the by, I don't remember saying the 9's were hum drum, Oh, I'm sorry you said that.

Hugh???!!!
Whad'dya trying to do - drive up th prices by extolling the virtues of the .30 Luger to EVERYONE?? Sheeshhh - while the .30 Luger is a lot more fun - and I find more accurate - then the 9mm, let's NOT tell everyone, OK??!!
Below is your re-written post - now, if I can get DOK to replace your original note with my edited version below - I'll be happy *and* perhaps we can stop the mad dash to Ralph's as folks look for those .30's and drive up the prices..... "Fr-hank, You don't want a .30 Luger! They are a expensive, finiky, inaccurate, uncooth, obsolete - and tough to find magazines for!!! (teee, heh, heh...)... I have a 6", a 4 3/4", and a 4" - all of which I've been trying to sell forever. I need now is to find one of those 8" bbls in 9mm - I'd rebarrel one of mine in a heartbeat. However, the .30 is much more fun than shooting a drum..." BTW: Did the grips make it there? I did leave them off at the pony express pick-up last Wednesday..?? |
