Another personal request for prayer
Most of the long time members here know our family's battle with cancer over our daughter Amy over the last four years. By the grace of God and by your continued prayers she is still with us, and her three young boys after a double mastectomy and a hysterectomy... God is good.
I would appreciate it if you would continue to keep her in your prayers for freedom from the return of cancer... but the reason for my request today is for someone else. My wife has a very close friend at work who has battled cancer for almost ten years... the case is very similar to our daughter Amy... but in this case, the doctors have just told her that the cancer has returned, and spread, and sadly, she has been told that she now has no hope... As you can imagine, this has struck my wife and I deeply since Amy's case is so similar... but today I ask that you place our friend, Debbie Sterner on your prayer list, and pass her name on to your own church for prayer... Even when all human hope is gone, there is room for almighty God to intervene... The book of James 5:16 "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." No response here is necessary, but your sincere prayers on Amy's and Debbie's behalf are solicited and appreciated. Thanks to all my friends for hearing my appeal. |
John, I am sorry to hear of your Friend Debbie Sterner and her sad diagnosis. I will pray for her and those close to her, her dear friends who care for and love her. You are a true friend and I wish you all well. While no response may be necessary I feel it is important to let others know we are thinking of you in your time of trouble. Good Luck, and God Bless, Jerry And Ellie

John,
Thanks for the update on Amy. We've been praying for her. We'll say a prayer for Debbie also. |
I heard the first time about these circumstances and I am really feeling sorry about this! Please believe in my prayers to God, too!
|
John,
I know God is good also, we'll keep praying for you and your friends. Jim |
John -
May God be with you, your Family, and friend in this difficult time. You will all be included in our prayers. Regards, Luke |
Prayer is a very strong medicine, both physically and mentally.
In January I had a biopsy on nodules in my thyroid which turned up "suspicious cells" and it was recommend that I have the thyroid removed as soon as possible. Naturally I was very upset and worried. Although there was some complications and the recovery took longer than expected, no cancer was found in the other biopsy's. Prayer is a great healer and gives hope when hope is needed most. -- Bill |
Bill, I know that you've been in my thoughts and prayers for a while, and wish you the best recovery, afterall, I don't have that many friends! :)
Seriously, outdoor activities will keep you strong and healthy, that I believe, get with nature and it'll take care of you. Ed |
My thanks to all for your replies both on forum and privately...
Please keep those prayers goin' out, so we can receive His Blessing in return. God bless you all. |
John,
As one who knows the value of prayer and the action of miracles, I will certainly offer my prayers for Amy and Debbie. May Almighty GOD keep his hand on them and protect them from all evil. GOD promised that He will never leave us alone and He is always there. I pray that His will is as our will. If and when GOD takes home those who are his let us be thankful and understand that they are not our own, but the children of GOD. In recognition of our need for joy and comfort, He only lends them for a while. The most important thing in our existence is that we go with GOD. |
John, Debbie, everyone, prayer works, you will be in mine....Schwob
