WOODEN LUGER PISTOL DISPLAY STAND !

Glad these are for sale, but my homemade ones are nicer. Do these look like plywood to you? Anyone out there that does a better job than this?

Contact Gale at Fort Sandflat Products; he does a good job and has one I designed that displays both pistol and holster.

I am too much of a tightwad to buy even a cheap magazine, so this is the way I make them.

Mine are made out of Oak with shaped dowels. Due to limited safe space, I've got one that holds four while locked up and a single for when I'm cleaning, admiring or whatever.

Hey guys, IMO all of those stands are mighty fine, thanks for showing them. Due to the lack of adequate wood working tools I have ordered the six gun Luger stand from Gunstands.com. Thanks Wes for the Link, I have been wanting some stands for quite awhile but couldn't find any at a realistic price.

Herb, for what's it's worth, I have a 10 gun horizontal that I think is as good as it gets. I also have 3 individuals that are pretty nice. I would highly recommend these for what ever purpose. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

TacFoley, yes we are allowed to display them in our front window or on the hood of the car if we want. The problem here is open display invites theft. If they can be seen from outside one invites robbery, sad but true. It is unfortunate that your country has essentially banned the ownership of guns in general. The Aussies really got hurt by it if the reported increase of crime since then is accurate.

Herb 08-05-2002 04:32 PM

TacFoley, please don't get the impression that burglary here in the US is rare, it isn't in nearly all large cities. The theives know that the chance of getting shot is fairly good though unless you live in the Kommisariat of Kalifornia where the shooter goes to jail and the crook sues you and usually wins on the 'use of excessive force' defense. I am fortunate to live in south-central Utah where crooks expect to be shot if caught and are disappointed if not. There is law here in the county that if your dog harrases cattle the cattle owner can, and usually does, shoot them. Whole different life here than in CA where I lived for 27 years up until my retirement.

Tacfoley,

Get a load of this: In most states, if you do not have a conceal/carry license, you must wear your iron on your hip in full display to be lawful. How does that grab ya?

Ron,

I can see a lot of thought of physics and engineering went into your design. I have admired them whenever you posted a pic to show your pistols.

Jim,

Your stands also intrigue me with the peg design and minimal efficiency. The more I consider them, the most impressed I am.
