THANK YOU - Ed Tinker...!!!

This AM, the postman delivered a CD from WA state containing Ed's work-to-date on VET Bring Backs....

Ed - it is OUTSTANDING!!! For those not familiar with Ed's efforts, he has been compiling and documenting stories about Lugers (and a few other firearms) as they have been returned from the battlefields. (Recently, Ed generously offered to send a CD to anyone interested in his work).

The book shows an uncommon effort in editing and compiling all that information, and the CD contains numerous photos of the Lugers and their accessories. The task to compile, edit and publish these stories must be daunting - but Ed has done simply an outstanding job..!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS Ed..!!!! When you finish up the first Edition, please let us know - as you should be compensated for your efforts. Maybe a ZIPPED download of a PDF file and/or a printed volume? Either way - count me in as a customer...!!!

Really a tremendous effort - and all from desire and drive of one individual to take on such a task...

Ed - you are the <img src="graemlins/r.gif" border="0" alt="[king]" /> , so have a few of these <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" /> <img src="graemlins/drink.gif" border="0" alt="[cherrsagai]" /> on me....

I don't think there is a blushing one is there?

I used Publisher because it was available, then I bought the 2002 edition, thinking it would have the option to "save as" easier to something else.

It does, but not as I was happy with. My desire is to make it into a paper based book, probably after I reach approx., 100 separate stories, there are probably, what 30 or 35 (56 pages I think so far).

So, anyone with "real" stories about vet bring backs and digital or real pictures I could scan in, are more than welcome. Credit is given at the top of the page to each contributor, unless you didn't want that!
