Mitchell Lugers
Hey All-I have been looking around the site a few days now,and I don't find anything on the Mitchell stainless repros. Are they still available? I don't even see them in the trade mags like Gun List or SGN. There doesn't seem to be a forum on them here, either. It seems to me that since shooting a vintage Luger decreases its value and even can possibly damage or break it, that these would be a viable solution to those of us with a Luger shooting "Jones". Are they any good at all,or are they sorta like Corvairs? I'll check you all later, Commanche.

The AIMCO Lugers are still available but somewhat limited. Rumor has it they are working on a larger 45 Luger which I predict will be a seller if not too expensive.
AIMCO, Inc. R.E. Romo, 915 Boundary, Houston, Texas 77009 Tel: (713) 617-0474 Fax: (same number) Reproduction Stainless Steel Lugers is found in the links section. Lugerforum Links Section |
Commanche,
Just a bit of clarification for new folks. ALL of the stainless steel Lugers have been manufactured by one company, namely AIMCO in Houston, TX, but have been marketed at different times by Mitchell, Stoeger, and finally AIMCO themselves... Mitchell and Stoeger are no longer marketing these guns... only AIMCO. |
Commanche, check the POST WII Luger section of this forum, tons of stuff on Stainless steel Lugers there. Post WII Luger Section

Also check the Member Gallery and you will find an album dedicated to the Stainless Steel Lugers.

Welcome to our little foumn! As an owner of one of these guns it is always nice to see somebody interested in them. As you were told, go to the Post WWII section.
They are still being produced but are available only through AIMCO directly. You can order from them and I was just informed by the company president that they are now available with or without grip safeties and with dished or standard toggle knobs. If you have one, post some pictures in the Post WWII section. Steve |
