Just a Thank You to John D........
All is well down here in the sunny southwest! I just wanted to take a minute and thank John D. for all the enjoyment I receive daily from this site, and it's sister site, the P.38 forum... John, You have brought many people closer together through your unselfish efforts... I am in your debt... anything I can do for you, just let me know! best to all! til...lat'r...GT

Aww - thanks G.T... Honestly - it's folks like yourself and the many others that these sites are all about. What I mean by that, is that I only "pave the highway", but it's the people within the sites that have forged the "community". That's to yours and everyones credit, certainly not mine...
Now, if you'd like to do something for me personally - please feel free to send some of that summer-like weather you are having, up to the Great White North... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> G.T. - my thanks again....! |
I echo GT sentiments! The Luger forum has had me hooked on it since March of 1998 and been a daily companion to me studying and learning about the Luger pistol. I thank John Dunkle for taking it a quantum leap beyound what it was in the old days. It is so much totally faster than in the old days. The contribution by collectors and shooters of Luger pistols has been tremendous. With the advent of the digital camera we now can better trade information on proofing, stampings, acceptance markings that make the study all that much more fun. It has also helped my business tremendously with several Luger forum members being return customers bringing back to more of the original splendor some examples that were really pitted messes that were in a continuing state of rusting away. John Dunkle graciously has set me up with a website to run my business with no return to him for his efforts. That is the kind of super person he is. I hope and pray the good Lord continues to bless John and Jen in their continuing efforts to bring the Luger pistol forum to the Luger community for many years to come for us to enjoy. By the way, I would trade some of that winter for some of our sunshine. I really am a lover of winter weather, but I also love the state we live in. Thanks John for all you do. And thanks to all those that contribute the great wealth of information on the Luger pistol. I continue to learn about it daily! ...............Amazing!!

I have to echo GT's and Thors comments. We all are appreciative of John's efforts and expense. I know I am, as it has helped not only my ability to study and learn the subject but my Luger Holster repair business as well. John, if there is anything more substantive than fine weather I can help you with please let me know. Best regards, Jerry

All,
John D. is too much of a gentleman to ever mention it, but this costs time and money. So, in addition to your kind words and kudos, send the man a check and a bottle of his favorite beverage. This site is worth it's weight (Maybe it's member's weight??) in Jefferson Reserve, and needs to be supported and sustained. Do your part; I did mine. Tom A. |
